Just like you, throughout my life I’ve had many crossroads appear in front of me, each one inviting me to choose which path forward I most wanted to take. There came a time when a particular crossroads arose for me, after I’d written and published my first book, Enlightenment Is Sexy, after I’d met and spoken with Oprah about meditation and higher consciousness (and she’d told her pal Sheri Salata, “I want what that girl has”), and after I’d spent the next two years traveling around the country speaking to audiences of mostly women about how to let go and let God.
What I realized standing at that crossroads was this: Hospitality is my first love, and I returned to the world of hosting in 2020 when I launched Juniper Holiday + Home.”
BUSINESS. LIVING. SOUL.
Nothing brings me more satisfaction than creating environments where people feel happy, fulfilled, and nourished from the inside out. Something I learned from my Greek-American upbringing; in our house, it was always a good day to open up our home to 20 of our nearest and dearest and lay on the works. Hospitality, in the broadest sense of the word, is in my DNA.
I cut my teeth in the restaurant biz aged four, folding fried chicken boxes in my dad’s fast food joint. Even then, I knew the divinity was in the detail. By the time I was 21, I was managing an upscale restaurant in Chicago, where I saw each check as a chance to make somebody’s day.
But it was when I learned to meditate, that I discovered the secret source to my approach to hospitality: how to slow down, breathe, and make space for miracles to happen.
There followed a brief diversion teaching meditation to Oprah (for real!), writing books on why enlightenment is sexy, and coaching women everywhere on how to let go and let God. But hospitality is my first love, and I returned to the world of hosting in 2020 when I launched Juniper Holiday + Home.
My mission today? To spread the current of joy, love, and connection, by creating the kinds of experiences that make everywhere feel like home, and which elevate the everyday. Because I believe that every grateful guest, every satisfied customer, and every Happy Host is adding to the happiness quota in the wider world.
AUTHOR
After my first Transcendental Meditation experience in the winter of 2011, my spiritual awakening gave rise to an inspired, non-stop outpouring of insight, creativity and empowerment—the focus of which was especially targeted for badass women—resulting in creating my Amazon bestselling book: Enlightenment Is Sexy™: Every Woman’s Guide to a Magical Life.
I wrote another book (to be released by Sounds True Publishing on 2/14/23), In Deep Shift: Riding the Waves of Change to Find Peace, Fulfillment and Freedom, meant to coach women everywhere to let go and let God.
I write because I have a LOT to say on the art and practice of enlightened living!
Founder
In 2020, I became co-Founder and COO of Juniper Holiday + Home. What started as a premier vacation rental and property management business actually was a coming together of many aspects of who I am, and returned me joyfully to the world of hospitality and hosting.
